UFC 8 tournament champion Don Frye returns to Japan on August 16 to fight PRIDE Bushido and Pancrase veteran Ikuhisa Minowa in a special event co-promoted by DEEP and CMA titled "Gladiator."
Frye’s last appearance in Japan was in April 2007 at the final PRIDE event, where the 42-year-old from Arizona suffered a devastating loss to James Thompson. Frye took a fight earlier this year at a local event in Dallas, Texas, knocking out Bryan Pardoe in 47 seconds and improving his record to 19-6-1.
