I currently want to get into mma and do cagefights. I wrestle in highschool currently so i have a little expierience there. im fifteen. So how do proceed in becoming a fighter? I don’t have any MMA training so I’m just curious, if I get taken down, land on my back but have the other person in a good guard, would I be able to defend any type of submission?
The other reason I’m asking is b/c I see a lot of strikers who sometimes get taken down but the so called BJJ expert isn’t able to do anything if they’re in the striker’s guard.

I just started in a gym that offers alot of programs. Obviously in MMA you need striking and ground. I’ve tried boxing, kickboxing, and BJJ so far. Should I focus on either Boxing or Kickboxing right now for my striking, or do both? So far I have a bit of a preference to Boxing, just because I seem to excel at it a little more.
