Would I be qualified to join a MMA club in college if I do Tae Kwon Do and Wrestling (please read details?

I am a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and compete on a national level. I have been competing in Olympic sparring for about 10 years. I also do Wrestling in high school. I am very interested in doing MMA in college (a school club or out of school club or school) and was wondering if these sound like good qualifications.

If i want to learn how to fight and defend myself, would taking mma classes be my best option?

I didnt want to ask her b.c i didnt want her to think like damn already. if i train 3 times a week, how long would you give it?

Will CrossFit Training significantly help my MMA performance?

I’m just starting my MMA journey. I want to actually takew a few arts one at a time, becoming very fine tuned in each, before starting ‘MMA Training’ at a local MMA gym.

But aside from that, I’m wondering if CrossFit is the best way to train cardio and strength. Some of my friends went for a few months and are getting into ridiculously good shape.

Anyone know much about it?

what are some good resources for MMA particularly BJJ?

Some friends of mine ranging in age from 18-36 went in and purchased a wrestling mat. Out of all of us only three, myself included, have wrestling backgrounds. We would like to start training in MMA, particularly BJJ. No ground and pound, submissions only. Basically it’s the blind leading the blind. Us wrestlers can teach takedowns and takedown defense. We all know a little about conditioning. But we would like to know more about techniques from the gaurd, side control, how to pass gaurd, things like that. Are there any videos or books out there that can help us out that you people here at yahoo answers have seen or heard about?
