I go to the best MMA gym in town, and for phys ed at school we had to go the the other MMA gym in town. The instructor at the other MMA gym told me that i shouldn’t throw a horizontal hook but a perpendicular one. Is he right?

I know that BJJ is great when getting someone to the ground, but why do most MMA fighters (at least the ones I’ve seen) also use Muay Thai more than any other fighting style? What makes it so much better than the other styles?

I heard that that the kickboxers in Thailand are the best in the world. I heard that American and Dutch kickboxers try to take them on but still cannot beat their top fighters.

So why haven’t they enter the MMA scene yet? Someone should have gone there by now and develop a camp that teaches BJJ and wrestling to compliment their striking?

I am interested in taking a MMA and/or Thai Boxing classes, but I am not sure how much money I should pay for them. I know of one program that offers both classes for $149/mo. for unlimited classes per month. This sounds acceptable, but I’m not sure if there are better deals out there. If anyone knows about these type of programs and how much they should cost, please let me know. Thanks!
